Impaired driving charges laid following collision in Quinte West

Quinte West OPP have charged a local woman this week, in connection to a collision.

Police responded to collision on Tuesday just after 7 a.m., along Wallbridge Road. Police transported the driver back to the police station after they suspected she may be under the influence of alcohol.

The driver, 41-year-old Leah Dempsey of Quinte West, is now facing impaired driving charges. Her vehicle has been impounded for seven days, and license suspended for 90 days. Dempsey has a Belleville court date in September.
