A Trenton man was arrested on outstanding charges while some new ones were also laid following a domestic incident in Belleville on Thursday.
On July 16, 2026, at 11:53 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a call for service at a residence in the city’s west end regarding a domestic dispute. It was reported that a male and female were involved in a verbal altercation and the female wished to have the male leave the residence.
Upon investigation, it was learned the male had multiple outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants. Additionally, it was learned the male was bound by a release order with conditions including non-communication with the female. As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Trenton man was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants, and charged additionally with:
· Failure to comply with a probation order
· Three counts of failure to comply with a release order – other than to attend court
He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released.
