Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants in separate incidents in Belleville on Thursday.
On July 16, 2026, at 4:34 p.m., Belleville Police were dispatched to the area of North Front Street and Bell Boulevard after a male known to have outstanding arrest warrants was observed entering a wooded area.
Upon arrival, officers entered the wooded area and conducted a search for the male. At approximately 4:41 p.m., officers located the male seated and advised him he was under arrest. The male stood and started to leave the area but was quickly apprehended by Belleville PSD Bax. Officers were then able to effect the arrest. As a result, Adam Brownson, a 42-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the outstanding Belleville Police Service warrants and held for a bail hearing.
On July 16, 2026, at 7:50 p.m., in the area of Bridge Street West, Belleville Police observed a male known to have outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants.
Upon being approached, the male fled on foot and failed to comply with directions to stop, initiating a foot pursuit.
Officers located the male in a backyard, where he actively resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. As a result, a 37-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and charged additionally with:
· Resist peace officer
· Fail to comply with a probation order
He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released.
On July 16, 2026, at 11:45 p.m., Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop in the city’s west end. While speaking with the occupants, officers confirmed that the male passenger had an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant for Robbery with a weapon and Fail to comply with a probation order.
As a result, a 46-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released.
