A former mainstay of the Belleville Police Service has been honoured by the city and the community he served for so many years.
On Monday, a special celebration for Harry Burley was held at the Belleville Club on Pinnacle Street to recognize his decades of service with Belleville Police and also his recent volunteer work in the Downtown Community Policing Office.
The City posted the following message on Facebook following the well-attended event on Monday night.

These awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the exceptional dedication of select community members and volunteers, and the impact they have on Belleville.
Through his work at Downtown Community Policing Office and his time with Belleville Police Service, Harry has made a lasting impact on our downtown and the city as a whole. His commitment to public safety, support for local businesses and unwavering service have helped foster a safe, welcoming and vibrant environment for residents and visitors alike.
