An arrest has been made in a stabbing incident reported near Havelock last week.

Peterborough County OPP stated it received a call from an individual stating that they had been in an altercation early in the morning on September 30 and had been stabbed at a residence on Blairton Road near Havelock, west of Marmora.

The complainant reportedly told police he had been asked to leave the residence, and got in an argument with another person, at which point an edged weapon was brandished and they were stabbed.

A large police presence remained in the area until a warrant was executed on the residence.

On Saturday October 4 shortly after midnight, officers attended an address on William Street in Havelock where they believed the wanted person to be. Officers made contact with an individual from the residence who stated the wanted person was prepared to surrender themselves to police.

Shortly after, the male exited the residence and was arrested.

Jason Body, 31, of Havelock, was arrested and charged with:

• Assault causing bodily harm

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

• Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused was held for Bail.
