Planned water service construction on Eyre St (Picton) Oct 7

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 6, 2025 | 8:21 PM

The Water and Wastewater Department in Prince Edward County will be making water service repairs on Eyre St in Picton on Tuesday, Oct 7.

Planned work will begin at approximately 9am, with an expected completion time of 5pm the same day.

Eyre St at the intersection of Church St will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.

The repairs will not impact water quality; however, residents living on Eyre St may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
