Halloween in the Village returns in Belleville

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 8, 2025 | 6:33 AM

The Children’s Safety Village of Belleville is thrilled to host its annual Halloween in the Village celebration on Friday, October 31, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 129 South John Street.

This free, family-friendly event invites families to enjoy an evening of fun, laughter, and safe trick-or-treating right in the heart of the Village.

The site will be transformed with festive Halloween decorations and special surprises around every corner. Families can enjoy free chili as well as cotton candy, thanks to the generosity of community supporters and volunteers.

To ensure inclusivity for all, the first hour — 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM — will be designated as a sensory-sensitive time, providing a quieter, more comfortable environment for children and families who benefit from reduced noise and stimulation.

“Halloween in the Village has become a cherished community tradition,” said Rachelle Baldock, Executive Director of the Children’s Safety Village of Belleville. “It’s a night where families can simply have fun together — no barriers, no cost, just smiles, laughter, and a safe place for every child to enjoy Halloween.”

Families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the festive atmosphere, meet local first responders, and take part in one of Belleville’s most beloved community events.
