Public meetings scheduled to explain blue box changes in Napanee

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 9, 2025 | 1:21 PM

Two meetings will be held in the next few weeks to explain the changes being made to recycling in Greater napanee next year.

As of January 1, 2026, the Town will no longer be responsible for the collection of recyclable material.

Recycling will be collected by Emterra Environmental through a contract with Circular Materials Ontario.

To ensure residents are prepared for the transition, information sessions will be held on October 23 and November 4 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at 99 Advance Avenue.

The information sessions will provide an opportunity to learn about the transition, how it may impact residents, and how concerns about recycling collection will be addressed in 2026.

More information on the transition can be found on the Town’s website: greaternapanee.com/bluebox.
