Belleville woman charged in shoplifting incident

A Belleville woman was charged with theft following a reported shoplifting incident on Friday.

On May 1st at 6:15pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of theft at a business located on North Front Street. Employees reported observing a female conceal merchandise in a bag before leaving the store without paying. Upon investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect.

As a result of investigation, Jennifer O’Hara, 47-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was located, arrested, and charged with:

· Fail to comply with a probation order

· Theft under $5000 X2

She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
