Quinte West grocery store reopens under new ownership

By Brock Ormond May 2, 2026 | 7:05 AM

Glen Miller Grocery is proud to announce its reopening under the ownership of Ripal Patel with location manager Dhaval Patel. After relocating to the area in 2003, Ripal has developed deep community roots over the past 20 years, alongside gaining extensive experience in the convenience store industry.

“This store has always been more than just a place to shop it’s also part of people’s memories growing up,” says Ripal Patel. “Re-opening Glen Miller Grocery means bringing that sense of community back, creating a welcoming hub for Glen Miller, Batawa, Frankford, and beyond.”

Glen Miller Grocery offers a variety of grocery and convenience items, including local meat products and a strong commitment to supporting local farmers and suppliers. In addition to everyday essentials, the store provides services such as accepting empty beer containers and acting as a parcel drop-off location.

Conveniently located along Highway 33—a key route connecting cottage country to Highway 401 and major cities—the store is well-positioned to serve both local residents and travellers alike.

Glen Miller Grocery is located at 788 Trenton Frankford Road (Hwy 33) in Quinte West. The store is open seven days a week from 7:00am to 9:00pm. Customers can reach the store at 613-394-9999 or via email at gmgrocery@yahoo.com. The building also offers additional space suitable for future retail or restaurant opportunities, further enhancing its role as a community destination.
