The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in another impaired driving investigation.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers with the Quinte West OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Dundas Street West leading to an investigation where an ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver, who was then transported to the detachment for further testing.
Emilie LABRIE, age 44, from Quebec, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 11, 2026. Additionally, the vehicle they were operating was impounded for seven days, and their licence suspended for 90 days.
