The OPP are advising the public of a procession to be held today (Thursday) along the 401 for a Northumberland OPP officer who died while on duty on Monday
Sergeant Brandon Malcolm died on Monday after his motorcycle crashed on the 401 near Burnham Street North in Cobourg on Monday afternoon around 5:30 pm.
Provincial Police say the procession taking Malcolm to Oshawa will depart the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto and head east on Highway 401 around 1 pm.
Anyone who wishes to show support can gather on one of the highway’s overpasses to pay their respects.
Members of the public are invited to sign the book of condolences, established in memory of #OPP Sergeant Malcolm, at opp.ca/news.
