Impaired charges laid following two incidents in Tyendinaga area

Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving recently following separate incidents in Tyendinaga.

 On Sunday April 26, 2026, just before 6:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a single vehicle collision on Enright Road in Tyendinaga Township. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision. Police attended the scene and following an investigation, the driver was arrested.

Thomas FOX, an 18-year-old from Belleville, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on June 23, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Tuesday April 28, 2026, just after 11:00 p.m, L&A County OPP officers were patrolling Highway 401 in Tyendinaga Township when a vehicle was observed travelling westbound with no headlights. The vehicle was stopped, and following an investigation:

Godfrey PASIPANODYA, a 42-year-old from Toronto, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on June 9, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
