A Belleville woman was charged with assault following a spitting incident on Monday.

On April 27th at 9:31pm, Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the city’s east end. Upon arrival, officers observed individuals involved in a verbal altercation. While officers were in the process of separating the parties, a male was spit on in front of officers.

As a result, Quinlyn Savoury, 24-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with assault.

She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in July
