$4,500 raked in from March Madness Challenge to boost TMH expansion project

By Brock Ormond Apr 16, 2026 | 2:25 PM

A crucial improvement project at Trenton Memorial Hospital is on its way to completion thanks to local restaurant and business support.

All March long, participating businesses in Quinte West participated in the 5th Annual March Madness Challenge, donating $1 from every featured menu item sold in support of the Emergency Department Expansion through the TMH Foundation’s EMERGE Stronger Campaign.

That culminated in a cheque presentation this week of $4,500 to TMHF.

This year’s participating businesses included Boston Pizza, Burrito Guyz, The Counter Restaurant, Curley’s Fries and Ice Cream, Eggsmart, Gogi Korean Grill, Josh’s Diner, Little Caesars Pizza, Mary Brown’s Chicken, McDonald’s (Trenton Town Centre), Mucho Burrito, Smylie’s Your Independent Grocer, Tomasso’s Italian Grille, Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill, Papa’s Pizzaland, Topper’s Pizza, and Subway.

TMHF extends its sincere thanks to all participating restaurants, their staff, and everyone in the community who took part.
