A special weather statement is calling for more heavy rainfall tonight and into tomorrow for the Quinte region.
Environment Canada says the additional rainfall could be as much as 20 mm and the ground, already near saturation, has a limited capacity to absorb this rainfall.
Locally higher amounts are possible, with thunderstorms possible through Thursday.
Portions of the region have received significant rainfall amounts over the last few days and any further rainfall could have significant impacts.
Officials with Environment Canada say rainfall amounts will likely be highly variable across the region.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas and motorists are urged to avoid driving through flooded roadways and avoid low-lying areas.
For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources office.
