Prince Edward County Council is looking local for Picton Marina services.
At its meeting Tuesday, councillors will consider approving a one-year lease to have Casa Dea Finance Limited partner with the County to oversee Picton Harbour for the upcoming summer boating season.
A report to the County’s most recent Committee of the Whole meeting about the proposed lease agreement sprung questions including enhancing marketing efforts for the marina and working with key partners like Visit The County and about potential parking in the area.
Casa Dea would bring water and power to unserviced docks and pay for major upgrades, while The County will handle maintenance and day-to-day operations.
Revenues will be split 70 per cent for Casa Dea and 30 per cent for the County.
In other business, council will consider reports on MAT Tax and 2026 Notational Tax Rates used to calculate the municipal levy, and presentations from members of the Quinte Organ Transplant Support Group and Southeast Public Health.
County Council meets at 7 p.m. at Shire Hall Tuesday.
