L&A County OPP charge two with impaired driving

Lennox and Addington County OPP have charged two people with impaired driving.

 On Sunday March 29, 2026, just before 5:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members observed a vehicle performing “donuts” on Bridge St in Loyalist Township. Police stopped the vehicle and after registering a “fail” on the Approved Screening Device (ASD) the driver was arrested.

Logan Cadeau, 27-year-old from Stone Mills Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 28, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Monday March 30, 2026, just after 9:00 p.m, L&A County OPP was called regarding a serious multi-vehicle collision on County Road Two in Loyalist Township. Officers attended the scene and following an investigation, the at fault driver was arrested.  Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preston Hockey, a 27-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Breach of Recognizance
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver
  • Novice driver – BAC above zero
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 31, 2026.. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
