A project that provides key education programs for local children has received a big donation from two high-profile members of the local financial sector.
Chad Buell & Kevin Colebourne, financial advisors for Co-operators in Belleville, on Thursday presented a $20,000 donation to the Children’s Safety Village of Hastings-Prince Edward.
This contribution will directly support the Village’s relocation and redevelopment campaign, ensuring the continuation of its vital mission: teaching local children life-saving safety skills in a fun, interactive, and educational environment. The relocation project will allow the Village to expand its reach, modernize its facilities, and develop new programs that address today’s safety challenges — from road safety to online awareness.
“Our donation today helps invest in the next generation of community safety,” said Chad Buell, Financial Advisor for Co-operators. “As part of a co-operative, we believe in giving back where it matters most — ensuring our children have the tools, knowledge, and resources to stay safe.”
The donation was made possible with the support of the Co-operators Advisor Community Fund, reflecting the organization’s deep-rooted commitment to strengthening local communities. For decades, Co-operators staff and advisors have worked together to make Canadian communities safer, healthier, and more resilient — a responsibility and principle that continues to guide every decision.
