Belleville Police dealt with two separate mischief incidents over the last few days.

On March 20th at 5:26am, Police say officers responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, it was reported that a verbal argument occurred between a male and a female, after which the male left the residence. He later returned and caused property damage, including smashing a picture frame, a door frame, and a window.

A 32-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000.

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in May.

Around 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of an unwanted person. It was reported that an unknown female had attended the residence and was refusing to leave. Upon arrival, officers located the woman inside. Further investigation revealed she had damaged a door frame by kicking it.

A 42-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:

  • Mischief under $5000
  • Unlawfully in dwelling house

She was held for a bail hearing.
