Two separate Intimate Partner Violence cases resulted in a pair of arrests in Belleville.

Last Friday around 11:15 a.m., Belleville Police spoke with a female regarding a domestic dispute. It was reported that a male attended her residence, made threats, and raised his fist toward her.

As a result of investigation, a 33-year-old Belleville male was arrested and charged with uttering threats and spousal assault.

Then, very early Saturday morning, around 4:30 a.m. Belleville Police attended a business on Bell Blvd in response to a domestic disturbance.

It reportedly involved a verbal argument between a male and female that had escalated into a physical confrontation.

A 23-year-old Prince Edward County male was arrested and charged with assault – spousal.

Both were released on Undertakings with scheduled court dates in May.
