Temporary by-pass around work area on section of Millenium Trail in Picton

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 16, 2025 | 6:05 PM

A temporary by-pass will be constructed on a section of the Millennium Trail in Picton so that users can safely pass around the work area in the following weeks.

Work is taking place on a 20-metre section of the trail that runs behind the County Farm Centre on Cold Storage Rd.

The contractor, Cobourg Development Services, will install the by-pass and construction fencing around the work area on Friday, Oct 17 from 7am until 12 noon. The public will be able to pass along the trail during this time.

The by-pass is expected to remain in place until the end of October. The work is necessary to support a future watermain connection.

Cobourg Development Services will restore the section of trail to its previous condition before it reopens to the public.
