More than $802,000 in 2nd quarter casino payment to Belleville from OLG

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is pleased to make a second quarter (July 1 – September 30) payment totaling $802,446 to the City of Belleville for hosting Shorelines Casino Belleville.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026), Belleville has received more than $1.6 million. Since the gaming site opened in January 2017, Belleville has received almost $24 million.

These payments to host communities are based on a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement that is consistently applied across all land-based casino sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.

“Belleville is able to offer local programs and improve the quality of life of our residents through the economic activity generated through revenue from Shorelines Casino Belleville,” said said Tyler Allsopp, Member of Provincial Parliament for Bay of Quinte. “The people of Ontario benefit from OLG’s gaming revenues as 100 per cent of OLG profits are reinvested in the province to support provincial priorities.”

Since 1994, host communities have received almost $2.3 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.

OLG shares proceeds of casino gaming with local communities, contributing to economic development including infrastructure and job creation.

Payments to host communities are part of OLG’s commitment to Ontario, which includes reinvesting 100 per cent of OLG’s profits back into the province.
