By Hailey MacDonald Oct 17, 2025 | 4:55 PM

A fire was causing traffic issues on Friday afternoon just south of Rossmore in Prince Edward County.

Firefighters were called out to a small marsh fire near the intersection of County Road 28 and Highway 62 (near Fenwood Gardens) around 4:05 pm.

Motorists were being asked to avoid the area while the firefighting operation is underway.

Drivers in the area say they were being turned around on 62 and could not get through the area.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire. No injuries have been reported.
