Pedestrian sustained serious injuries in Cobourg after being struck by vehicle

A pedestrian sustained injuries following a collision Friday afternoon in Cobourg.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Division Street near Ballantine Street in Cobourg. A pedestrian was crossing the road when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene. No charges have been laid at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage of the area is asked to call the police at 905-372-6821.
