Pegasus Cheer recently competed at two competitions on back-to-back weekends and brought home impressive results.

On Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, Pegasus Cheer competed at Beast of the East at Queen’s University in Kingston. Two teams and four individual athletes competed, earning the following placements:

  • Capricorn (U12 All Star Elite Level 2 Non-Tumble, ages 8 to 12) – First Place

  • Aquarius (Open Level 3, ages 16+) – First Place

  • Indy Grace Freeland (Open Cheer Abilities, ages 16+) – First Place

  • Indy Olivia Moore (U8 Level 1, ages 5 to 8) – First Place

  • Indy Kaelynn Whyte (U12 Level 1, ages 8 to 12) – First Place

  • Indy Aaralynn Ford (U12 Level 2, ages 8 to 12) – First Place

On Sunday, March 1st, 2026, Pegasus Cheer competed at Rising Star Cheer Classic at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph. Three teams and two individual athletes competed, earning the following placements:

  • Indy Grace Freeland (Open Cheer Abilities, ages 16+) – First Place

  • Aquarius (Open Level 3, ages 16+) – First Place

  • Indy Kaelynn Whyte (U12 Level 1, ages 8 to 12) – Third Place

  • Libra (U12 Novice Level 1, ages 8 to 12) – Excellent Performance

  • Gemini (U6 Novice Level 1, ages 3 to 6) – Outstanding Performance and Judge’s Choice for Amazing Dance

All teams and individuals at both competitions achieved the distinction of ‘hitting zero’, meaning they completed their routine with no deductions or legalities, a testament to the athletes working hard to accomplish their goals.

“Watching the hard work and dedication of Kaelynn and Coach Liz over the last few months come to life in real time was spectacular,” says Kaela Whyte, parent of Indy Kaelynn. “Hearing her past teammates cheer her on and watching her face light up on stage was an indescribable moment for me as a parent.”
