Special Weather Statement calling for heavy flurries Wednesday evening

By Brock Ormond Feb 25, 2026 | 4:24 PM

A Special Weather Statement is being called again for the Quinte region, with flurries at times heavy potential impacting commute this evening.

Environment Canada said these flurries could suddenly reduce visibilities.

An accumulation of 2 cm of snow is possible locally. Snow could accumulate quickly on the roads and make them slippery.

Travel will likely be difficult due to sudden reduced visibilities in snow, so drivers should be prepared for deteriorating travel conditions and allow extra time for travel.
