Arrest made after shoe thrown at BGH

Belleville Police have laid multiple charges after an incident where a shoe was reportedly thrown during an incident at Belleville General Hospital.

On Friday, October 17th at approximately 7:17pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of an assault at a location on Dundas Street East. It was reported that a female had attended BGH accompanied by a support person, when she became physically aggressive, spitting at him and throwing a shoe.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with the following offences

· Assault

· Failure to comply with release order

· Failure to comply with Probation order X6

She was held for a bail hearing.
