Collision briefly closes Napanee road to traffic

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 20, 2025 | 3:02 PM

Drivers heading east to Napanee were delayed on Monday afternoon following a road closure on County Road 1 West.

This is due to what is being described as a ‘high-velocity’ collision between two vehicles on that road in the Beechwood Road area that happened shortly before 4 p.m.

The road was closed to traffic for a short period of time with reports from the scene indicating one of the vehicles is upside down in a ditch in the area.

Members of the Greater Napanee Fire Department, Lennox and Addington County OPP and the local paramedic service are on scene.

There is no word yet on injuries but reports on social media say the driver of the vehicle that flipped was not seriously injured.
