UPDATE – The fall fundraising campaign for the United Way Hastings Prince Edward is now underway.
They held a launch event at the Dairy Queen in Belleville, with Blizzard Day for the United Way at Belleville and Trenton locations happening on Monday.
The goal for this year’s campaign is 2.4 million dollars, the same as in 2025. Last year, they finished just short of that mark but raised a record $2.256 million.
This year, they are also changing things up by using a Campaign Leadership Team approach instead of the familiar Campaign Chair and Cabinet we have seen in previous years.
In addition to Blizzard Day and Megabike rides, today is also the launch of the 50/50 draw through the local United Way website.
Executive Director Brandi Hodge says it’s a great way for people who don’t have workplace campaigns to show their support for the United Way. Tickets can be purchased through the United Way HPE website.
Cool 100/Hits 95.5 is at the Belleville location from noon to 3 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to stop by to help this wonderful cause.
