A local insurance brokerage has added a northern brokerage to the fold.
Effective August 31, McDougall Insurance Brokers Ltd. has acquired United Link Insurance Brokers Ltd. of Sudbury.
Following this deal, the McDougall Group will be a brokerage with approximately $1.6 billion in annual premiums, 1,500 employees, and over 90 office locations with a track record of
sustainable organic growth – becoming one of the largest brokerages in Ontario.
Officials say Wesley Harmiden, the owner of United Link, will remain as President and will continue to lead United Link post-transaction.
McDougall officials say more detailed communication regarding logistics of this merger will be shared imminently.
