Stirling-Rawdon is putting together a process to hire a new CAO.
At its meeting Tuesday, council approved a by-law to appoint Kelly Pender as acting CAO to work with the Waterhouse Executive Search firm to proceed with a proposed timeline to hire someone for a permanent position.
Pender has decades of municipal governance experience and mostly recently completed temporary work for Madoc Township and the Municipality of Tweed.
He is now tasked with helping find a regular CAO by the end of the year, with ads and research launching October 5, recruiter interviews to take place the period of October 26-November 6 and eventually shortlist interviews by late November and early December and consultation with Mayor Bob Mullin and Council along the way.
The aim is to have a final decision made the week of December 14, with a start date for the chosen candidate being in between one to three months.
