Three Napanee residents are facing a long list of charges, after Lennox and Addington OPP stopped a vehicle on Thursday.
Police stopped the vehicle just before 3 p.m., on Thomas Street. The stop was in connection to a police investigation.
Three people from Napanee were in the vehicle, arrested, and charged. The OPP uncovered over 110 grams of suspected cocaine in the vehicle, along with a few grams of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. Police found two knives, a metal baton, and over $2,000 in Canadian currency, cellphones, and drug trafficking items.
The OPP have issued the following list of charges.
Cody Brooks, a 31-year-old from Napanee was charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of weapon contrary to a prohibition order
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device
Darlene Brooks, a 58-year-old from Napanee was charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
Patricia Smith, a 49-year-old from Napanee was charged with
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with a release order – three counts
The three residents were held for a local bail hearing.
