UPDATE: The Quinte region is under a Rainfall Warning for Sunday. Environment Canada is projecting 40 to 50 mm of rain in Belleville with a risk of a thunderstorm. An additional 10 to 20 mm of rain is expected overnight.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Belleville, Quinte West, and East Northumberland. Rain and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast overnight and into much of Sunday. Local rainfall amounts may be over 50 mm. The agency is calling for 30 to 40 mm of rain for Belleville on Sunday, with another 5 to 10 mm overnight heading into the holiday Monday.
