The OPP have confirmed that the 73-year-old pilot, known as David, who left the Oshawa airport in a home-built aircraft Friday, August 14th, has been found.
Multiple agencies including the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre out of CFB Trenton assisted with the search.
Debris from the plan was found in Wolfe Lake on Sunday, August 16th. The following day the OPP confirmed that the plan had been found submerged in Wolf Lake, but at the time the pilot known as David was still missing.
Sadly, the OPP announced that on Tuesday, August 18th, the pilot was found dead.
Plans to remove the pilot and plane are currently underway. No further information has been released at this time, as the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating.

Aircraft from CFB Trenton spent much of the weekend conducting a search for an overdue plane in the Kawartha Lakes region.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton posted late last night that they were continuing to look for an aircraft that was reported overdue on Friday morning.
Durham Regional Police issued a post on social media about the missing man on Friday. It is included below.
