For Quinte West residents, Saturday is one of your first chances to meet one of your mayoral hopefuls.
Zack Card is holding a municipal election campaign office opening at 17 King Street starting at 10 a.m. Saturday
The office will be open six days a week during the campaign.
Card is set to give very brief thank you remarks at the top of the event and there will be an opportunity for members of the community to speak with the candidate about their issues.
Those wishing to volunteer or take a lawn sign can do so at the event.
“Running for mayor is about serving the community,” Card said. “Having the office open downtown allows people to come in, bring their concerns and talk about the kind of Quinte West they want to see.”
Card added he and his campaign team have already knocked on more than 3,000 doors in this campaign.
“We’re hoping to hit everyone. But if someone isn’t home, or they’ve got a follow up, it was important for me to have an open door people could walk through,” he noted.
