A local man was charged after reports of threats toward staff at a business in Belleville Tuesday evening.
After 7:30 p.m., Belleville Police received report of a disturbance at a location in the city’s east end where it was reported that a male was threatening staff, and that staff wished to have him removed from the property.
Upon arrival, officers located the male, who was immediately uncooperative. Officers observed the male to be intoxicated.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
The man was also charged under the Trespass to Property Act with failing to leave when directed
He was later released from police custody once sober.
