Two individuals from Quinte West and one from Campbellford face drug and firearm possession charges after a search last week.
On Thursday around 6:40 p.m., the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and members of the Quinte West OPP Detachment, executed a search warrant at a residence on George Street in Trenton, as part of an on-going investigation.
Items seized included a .22 calibre firearm, a crossbow, Canadian currency, more than 80 grams of suspected cocaine and other items associated with drug trafficking.
Andrea Pelrine, 30 years old from Campbellford, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – other drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance – other drugs
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – six counts
Zackary Dixon, 30 years old from Quinte West has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – other drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance – other drugs
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
- Fail to comply with undertaking – four counts
Tara Dixon, 53 years old from Quinte West has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – other drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance – other drugs
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
Tara DIXON was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville at a later date. The other two accused were held for a bail hearing.
