Deputy Mayor acclaimed, while three people are in the Brighton Mayor’s race

The list of candidates running in the Brighton municipal election, has been released this week.

The official list and candidate biographies can also be found online.

Current Mayor Brian Ostrander is running against current Councillor Bobbi Wright and Christina Bergmann.

The Deputy Mayor’s seat has been acclaimed. Laura Knegt will be new in the role.

There are eight people vying for five seats on council.

Candidates: Tammy Archer, Mark Bateman, Anne Butwell, Courtney Goodmurphy, Christine Raynor, Emily Rowley, Catherine Stutt, and Jeff Wheeldon.
