Quinte West OPP have provided an update today, in connection to several theft reports over the last few months.
Police have learned that multiple thefts have happened in Trenton and the surrounding area. The police investigation has led officers to believe that there was a possible single suspect connected.
Officers with the Quinte West and Prince Edward County detachments executed a search warrant on Tuesday, August 18th, at a property in Consecon. Police uncovered roughly $30,000 of stolen items on the Prince Edward County property.
The items uncovered included tools, an ATV and side-by-side utility vehicle. Police also found ammunition.
The suspect, Reian Wallace of Consecon, is facing the following charges.
- Possession of stolen property over $5000 – two counts
- Possession of stolen property under $5000
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Theft of electricity or gas
The 28-year-old has a court date in Belleville on October 1st.
