Recruiting medical professionals is a complicated process, but Quinte West has taken some key steps to make it easier and simpler for people to adopt Mayor Jim Harrison’s favourite saying.
At yesterday’s Council meeting, they released the details of their new medical professional recruitment program, titled Primary Care Partnership, led by Physician recruitment and Retention Specialist Jessica Smylie.
It includes enhanced five-year agreement deals for Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Room and Hospital Doctors.
They also signed two new docs to the program, one to start immediately and one to set up shop in Quinte West in 2032.
Kudos to everyone in Quinte West for taking the key steps to bringing more medical professionals to the area, and for getting the right person to present it to prospective recruits.
