The Belleville Senators are gearing up for their 10th American Hockey League season.
The team has made it clear this summer that they have taken feedback from fans to help more people get to games and have a great night out.
Single-game tickets for the season go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
The Belleville Senators have released the following statement about their theme and promotional schedule.
| Once again, the Senators will host over a dozen games this season featuring special themes, promotions, or giveaways, starting with the club’s home opener on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., against the Hamilton Hammers (AHL Affiliate of the New York Islanders).
“Our theme schedule is always an exciting part of putting a season together, and this year we’ve worked hard to build a lineup that offers something new while continuing to celebrate the events and traditions our fans look forward to,” said Belleville Sens Vice President of Business Operations John Mathers. “From new ways to recognize the people and communities that make our region special to some great returning favourite themes, and upgraded giveaways, there’s a lot for our fans to be excited about. We’re looking forward to bringing these game nights to life and creating memorable experiences for our fans throughout our 10th anniversary season.” Preliminary details on the Belleville Sens 2026-27 theme game and promotional schedule are available below, with more info on specific events and giveaways to be released in advance of each game: Home Opener Friday, October 2, 2026 The 10th season of Senators hockey in the Bay of Quinte begins against a new provincial rival, as the recently relocated Hamilton Hammers visit the Friendly City for the first time. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to meet the players, and get autographs on the red carpet, and be part of a special ceremony before the game. Plus, the first 3,000 fans will receive a commemorative clapper to help keep the energy up and mark this special occasion. Bellevegas Night Friday, October 16, 2026 vs Laval Rocket (NHL Affiliate: Montreal Canadiens) The bright lights of Las Vegas return in mid-October, as the Senators once again pay homage to one of the city’s more playful nicknames for the second annual Bellevegas Night, on Friday, October 16, 2026, against the Laval Rocket (AHL Affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens). The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free set of Belleville Sens playing cards, and the energy of the Vegas Strip will be felt around the arena with buskers, casino-themed fun, and even an appearance by Elvis! Inaugural Home Opener Anniversary Sunday, November 1, 2026 Celebrate the Senators’ inaugural home opener with a Battle of Ontario matchup against the rival Toronto Marlies. The first 4,000 fans to the game will receive a souvenir ticket commemorating the club’s first-ever home game on November 1, 2017, when Belleville beat the Syracuse Crunch 4-3 in a shootout. The Sens will also debut the brand-new 10th anniversary uniforms, which will be worn 10 times this season. Relive that exciting first game through memories and reflections from current and former Senators players, staff, and season seat members! Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend Fri, Nov 6, 2026 vs Lehigh Valley Phantoms (NHL Affiliate: Philadelphia Flyers) Sat, Nov 7, 2026 vs Providence Bruins (NHL Affiliate: Boston Bruins) As they did in 2025-26, the Senators will dedicate an entire weekend to fighting cancer in the Bay of Quinte community and beyond, through the annual Hockey Fights Cancer initiative. The Sens will wear HFC-themed warm-up jerseys ahead of both games, with those uniforms being auctioned off online in support of the Belleville General Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital foundations. Fill out your “I Fight For” sign to be part of the fight and learn more about how funds raised through the HFC initiative are helping to provide better care for cancer patients right here at home. Hockey Weekend in Quinte Saturday, November 14, 2026, + Sunday, November 15, 2026 vs Cleveland Monsters (NHL Affiliate: Columbus Blue Jackets) From the McFarlands to the Bobcats, to the Bulls, Pirates, and Bearcats,the Golden Hawks, Dukes, Pirates, Red Devils and more – join us to celebrate our region’s rich hockey history for the club’s inaugural Hockey Weekend in Quinte promotion. We’ll recognize key members of the community who continue to grow the game in our area and reminisce about highlights and big moments from eras past. And minor hockey players who wear their team jerseys could win some awesome prizes! Teddy Bear Toss Saturday, December 12, 2026 A fan-favourite holiday affair is back with the sixth annual Belleville Sens Teddy Bear Toss. Bring along a new stuffed toy and toss it on the ice when the Senators score their first goal of the game. Once collected, toys will be donated to children around the region through the Belleville Firefighters Toy Drive. We’ll also celebrate the season with Belly and his mascot friends, holiday music, festive theming and other surprises throughout the night! Women in Sports Night Friday, January 8, 2027 Women in Sports Night returns early in the new year, as the Senators once again recognize the success and contributions of women in sports locally and across the country. This season, the Sens are proud to welcome Hockey Hall of Fame member Jennifer Botterill as a guest of honour. The three-time Olympic gold medallist, five-time World Champion, and current broadcaster has a new book coming out in September, with fans having an opportunity to get a copy of “Why Not You: My Story of Perseverance, Hockey, and Olympic Gold” and have it signed at the game. Indigenous Communities Night Friday, January 29, 2027 The Senators will continue to strengthen ties with the local Indigenous community in late January, when they once again host Indigenous Communities Night against the Toronto Marlies. The first 3,000 fans into the building will receive a commemorative clapper, and the Indigenous vendors market returns as well. Plus, the team will continue to highlight what’s happening on the nearby Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory through various features and interviews. Community Heroes Night Friday, February 5, 2027 Celebrate the people who keep the Bay of Quinte Region safe, strong, and connected on Community Heroes Night. Festivities begin in the afternoon with the second annual matchup between the Belleville Fire Department and Belleville Police Service. During the game, the Senators will recognize the 190th anniversary of the BPS and other first responders, volunteers, and community champions who take time out of their schedules to serve the people of the Bay of Quinte. 613 Country Celebration presented by Once Upon A Child Monday, February 15, 2027 The 613 Country Celebration is back, recognizing the AHL Senators’ role in developing the next wave of National Hockey League starts for the Ottawa Senators, and the growth of Senators Hockey from the Bay of Quinte Region right up to the National Capital Region. Spend Family Day learning about the Belleville Sens grads who are making an impact in Ottawa, meet NHL Sens’ mascot Sparty, and get a chance to win a signed Drake Batherson Belleville Sens jersey! It’s also another opportunity to catch the team in their 10th anniversary uniforms. Pride Night presented by CIBC Friday, March 5, 2027 The Senators will celebrate inclusion and diversity with Pride Night, bringing the community together for an evening dedicated to supporting and celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The night will feature special programming and initiatives designed to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for fans both inside and outside the arena. Military Appreciation Game presented by Mistral Developments Saturday, March 27, 2027 Members of the Canadian Armed Forces take the spotlight in late March for the Sens’ annual Military Appreciation Night. Be part of the action as the Sens don 8 Wing CFB Trenton-inspired uniforms against the Manitoba Moose, who will represent their home base, CFB Winnipeg. Celebrate and show your appreciation for the contributions and sacrifices of military members and their families, with special programming and tributes throughout the night. Fan Appreciation Night Friday, April 2, 2027 The fans always come first, but especially on Fan Appreciation Night for the Sens’ last regular season home game of 2026-27. The first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative 10th-anniversary pennant, with plenty of other giveaways, merchandise sales, and more planned throughout the night. Before the game, the red carpet returns, and the team will recognize its season award winners in a special ceremony ahead of puck drop. |
