The local American Hockey League team is hosting a USports game next month.
Staff with the Belleville Senators have announced that the preseason women’s hockey game, will take place on Sunday, September 20th at the CAA Arena.
The event in Belleville at 3 p.m. will be between the Queen’s University Gaels and University of Montreal Carabins. Tickets will be onsale through Ticketmaster as of September 2nd and will be $10 each.
The Montreal team won the 2026 USports title after finishing the regular-season with a 13-11 record. The Kingston team had a 19-7 record last season and were one of the top teams in the province.
“Bringing exciting events like this to Belleville is a great opportunity to showcase the quality of hockey being played in and around our region while helping grow the game at all levels. We’re proud to welcome Queen’s and the University of Montréal to the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre and give fans the chance to experience high-level women’s university hockey right here in our community. Events like this help introduce new audiences to the game, create opportunities for the next generation of players and fans to see themselves represented on the ice, and continue the Senators’ commitment to supporting local hockey,” said Belleville Sens Vice President of Business Operations John Mathers, in a statement.
