Update: Central Hastings OPP have confirmed that one person has died as a result of the single-vehicle collision this morning. The victim’s identity remains unknown. As of 4:30 p.m., Highway 37 is back open to traffic in the area.

Highway 37 was closed in Thurlow Ward on Tuesday morning following a serious crash.
OPP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 37 in the area of Phillipston Road at 9:35 am.
Centre Hastings OPP say 37 is closed from O’Brien Road to Zion Road until further notice.
There is no word yet on injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
It is expected to be closed for a number of hours.
