The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be focusing its patrols in an attempt to reduce collisions and promote safe driving in Quinte West.
As part of the commitment to the Provincial Traffic Safety Program, officers with the Quinte West OPP will be conducting the annual Civic Day Long Weekend Campaign, starting on Friday, July 31, 2026 until Monday August 3, 2026, with a primary focus on speed enforcement, seatbelt compliance, distracted and impaired drivers and failure of motorists to move over for emergency vehicles.
Quinte West OPP would like to remind the motoring public to adhere to the rules of the road for the safety of all road users.
