Tuesday was a record-setting weather day in Quinte.
Environment Canada says it hit 33.4 degrees in the mid-afternoon (as measured at the weather office at CFB Trenton).
That just beat the previous record of 33.3 degrees sent on July 14th of 1936.
Wednesday will be very warm again with a Heat Warning still in effect (and an Air Quality Warning because of wildfire smoke from Northern Ontario), but it’s not likely to set a record.
The projected high is 30 degrees while the current record for July 15th is 34.2 degrees set on this date back in 1983.
