More information expected soon about hit and run arrest in Belleville

More information is expected on Thursday about a hit and run that ended with an arrest in Belleville on Wednesday night.

A two-vehicle collision happened on Moira Street West near Murney Street (and Wallbridge Crescent) around 7:30 pm.

One of the vehicles continued for a short distance with the driver reportedly fleeing the scene on foot.

Officials with Belleville Police say one person was taken into custody a short time later.

There is no word yet on charges or the extent of injuries for the people in the other vehicle.
