The truth shall set you free, and denying it keeps you trapped in the past and us along with you sometimes.
Last night was the latest in a series of public statements and media events where twice-elected and once-defeated U.S. President Donald Trump took time to tell everyone how he feels he didn’t lose in 2020.
The latest theories include al alleged cover-up by members of his own first administration and other nations somehow interfering with the process.
The simple problem with all of this is the most basic element of any news story is completely absent. There is no proof.
Trump won fair and square in 2016. Russia attempted to sway people but there was no collusion, and it didn’t change the result. How do we know? They did an extensive investigation into it and found nothing.
Trump lost fair and square in 2020 to Joe Biden. Some results were delayed because of mail-in ballots, but that’s what happened and what was verified by one of the most extensive series of investigations in the history of democracy.
Trump won fair and square in 2024 and even won the popular vote for the first time in three tries because people were dissatisfied with Biden and Harris, their policies and attempts to conceal Biden’s decline.
End of story, or at least it should be, and hopefully one day it will.
Side note, voter fraud does exist but not on the scale that has ever affected a national election in the United States. Hundreds of millions of dollars haven’t proved otherwise, not even once.
I’m Paul Martin and that’s what I see looking Beyond the Headlines.
