Belleville Police dealt with a separate public intoxication incident and a reported disturbance overnight.
Around midnight, officers responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding an unwanted person.
A female reported that an unknown male was attempting to enter her residence.
The male on scene advised that he was trying to attend a different house but could not provide an address.
Officers observed the male to be extremely intoxicated, and he became uncooperative during the interaction.
For his own safety, a 26-year-old Brighton man was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.
He was later released from police custody once sober.
Fail to Comply
Before 1 a.m. Friday, officers observed a male and female engaged in a verbal dispute at an east end business.
Through their investigation, officers learned the female was bound by conditions prohibiting her from attending any location where the male was present.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an Undertaking
She was held for a bail hearing.
