Belleville Police arrested and charged a city man with public intoxication late Monday afternoon.
Around 5:15 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the city’s west end where it was reported that an unknown male was causing a disturbance at the location.
Upon arrival, officers observed the male to be intoxicated.
The man reportedly left the business, continued yelling in the street, and caused further disturbance before stopping in front of a residence and yelling at the occupants.
As a result, a 36-year-old Belleville male was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with being intoxicated in a public place.
He was later released from police custody once sober.
